The Novice Group this year is supervised by longtime Dolphins Swimmer and Coach, Pirie Humphries. Coach Pirie is a fourteen year veteran of the Athens Bulldog Swim Club, the Clarke Central Swim Team, and the ACC Dolphins. She recently completed her junior year with the Georgia Southern Women's Swim Team.

But her swimming background is not all she brings to the table in terms of helping the Novice Group improve. Having spent several years honing her skills with the ABSC Super Sunday Learn to Swim program, where she was mentored by former Brenau University Coach, Gabby Soraggi Matthews, Coach Pirie has one of the best "Learn to Swim" pedigrees in the area.

This summer Coach Pirie will be ably assisted by longtime assistants and Dolphin alums, Amber Juncker and Kaitlin Kasay. ABSC Senior Team Members Mae McWhorter and Anna Rose Moore round out the lead instructors with the Novice Group. Their swimming experience, which includes a number of individual and Georgia State Swimming Titles, as well as Academic All American awards, combined with an outstanding ability to relate to young children of all abilities, makes the Dolphins Novice Group Staff one of the best around.
